Mark Shuttleworth announced at the UDS keynote that Unity (the current netbook interface) would become the default desktop for Ubuntu.

I’ve been thinking about this decision over the last few days and I’ve come to the conclusion that this is a good thing. Sure there may be some teething issues and there are a few things that are confusing about the interface currently, but I think it has the potential for a very compelling user experience.

I recently launched my latest project Hello Hype. With Hello Hype you can micro review books, music and movies. You can also discover new books, music and movies by finding your friends and get recommendations from them.

The project sat around for ages as I tried to come up with a decent name. I almost gave up, but just recently I decided to try again, and from a long list I settled on Hello Hype. The name has grown on me a lot and has had positive feedback.
