Typography is something that I really enjoy and over the years I have tried my hand at creating typefaces. I must admit, many of my attempts were absolutely disastrous. In fact I'm sure that some of my attempts would have gotten me killed (or at least severely maimed) had I shown them to anyone who knew anything about typography.

I like to draw if I'm in a situation that requires my brain but not my hands. Often I sketch out ideas for fonts. Recently I drew a lowercase sans 'r' and then, motivated to try again, I jumped on the computer and in a couple of hours had the lowercase letters sketched out. You can see my attempt above. It's still rough and I'm not yet very happy with a lot of the letters, but it is a base to work with.

If you have thoughts or ideas then please let me know (but be gentle, I'm new to this game).

Incidentally, the 'r' I drew originally didn't make it into what you see above.
